What Shapesoda can do is turn a photo into vector art: it reduces the picture to a set of flat color areas — a posterized, poster-like look — and traces each area into smooth shapes. The result scales to any size and works well for posters, stickers, stencils and stylized portraits.
The vector will not look like the original photo up close: smooth gradients become bands of flat color, and fine texture such as hair or foliage becomes many small shapes. For the cleanest vector art, pick photos with a clear subject, strong contrast and a simple background.
