Many logos and drawings only exist as a JPG — sent by email, exported from a phone or saved from a document. JPG compression leaves blocky noise around edges and slight color shifts, which is why a JPG logo rarely looks sharp when enlarged. Shapesoda looks past that noise: it groups pixels into a small set of clean colors and traces each region into smooth vector shapes, so you get an SVG that looks the way the artwork was meant to look.
Shapesoda estimates how compressed your image is and sets the Input quality automatically: noisy, blurry pictures get stronger smoothing, crisp ones keep fine detail. The ringing and colored fringes around edges are merged into the neighboring colors instead of becoming hundreds of tiny shapes. If the automatic guess is off, switch Input quality between High, Medium and Low yourself.

A JPG has no transparency, so its background becomes a shape. Remove it with the remove-shape tool in the editor to get a transparent SVG.

We never use your images to train models. The list of recent images on the start screen lives only in your browser.
